How To Write An Essay - Writing A Better Essay

How To Write An Essay - Writing A Better EssayI hate writing essay. That's not to say I don't write or know how to write, because I do, I just don't enjoy writing. I'm often told I should write an essay to improve my writing skills and it is a great suggestion, but I often write a great essay without any benefit to my writing abilities at all.You could be like me and you may not like reading in school. You may have had a teacher that worked in an environment where reading is a required skill. Maybe your teacher would read aloud to the class. In any case, a person is forced to read, and if the material was boring to read it will be boring to write. You should never be forced to write a lot of material, and if you are forced to write an essay, do it carefully. If it's not done carefully, you may find yourself tossing it out and not giving it a second thought. Remember, that you can always come back to it later, and when you do, it will be a whole new essay. You should write short, simple sentences, not too many small paragraphs. The paragraphs should only have one topic per paragraph and the subject of the essay is always one or two ideas. This makes it easy to read and remember, while also keeping it short.A good essay usually has three parts. There are the introduction, the body, and the conclusion. The introduction is where you begin to introduce the main idea, or theme, and then lead the reader to the main theme. The body is where you lay out the major details or points you want to make and then provide a solution or conclusion. In addition to writing the introduction, body, and conclusion, you should try to think about as many different ways to make it as creative as possible. I have found that this is best accomplished by actually testing what is on paper. Often times a quick study session during class can be enough to make a better essay. After you have finished your work, and your writing style, try to come up with one way to solve your problem, or to explain one aspect of it, and then see if you can come up with a better solution. In this way, you will be able to write about more than one idea at a time. Also, you will be able to do more with less effort, and the other students in the class will be impressed by your ability to handle multiple subjects at the same time.So next time you are in the classroom, if you are forced to write an essay, or forced to sit through one, do yourself a favor and take your time, and really think about what you are writing. Come up with a bunch of ideas, one per page, and then test them all with your essay. If you like what you are doing, take some notes, or write them down.
